Fantasy Role Playing Game World

The World of Ǻrth

This section is under construction, check back soon as we add information about the world of Ǻrth. We’ll start on Auctorus, then start adding broad strokes for each of the other continents.

The world of Ǻrth is the home of Cailore Fantasy.™ Ǻrth is much like the planet Earth—with similar mass, gravitation, rotation and axial tilt. There is one sun in the sky, and a single moon graces the night sky. As a result, the climate patterns are very similar to those players will be familiar with from their own lives. There are notable localized exceptions resulting from great magics, but these are, after all, the things of fantasy.

The World at a Glance

The eight great continents of Ǻrth each have distinctive traits and inhabitants. A long-running Cailore Fantasy campaign may be based on a single continent or may find the characters traveling the width and breadth of Ǻrth.

Ar-Hybarân

The sister continent of Auctorus. Ar-Hybarân sits toward the equator from Auctorus and is a place of vast savanna and dense jungles.

Auctorus

auctorusoverviewThe continent PCs will most likely call home. This is the continent with the highest level of human dominance and is considered by many (humans and non-humans) to be the birth place of that race.

In ancient times most of Auctorus was ruled be a powerful empire of humans who enslaved what other races they could. When the slaves eventually rose up powerful magics were used to put down the rebellion, but instead unleashed a nightmarish hellscape which tore down all civilization on the continent. Now, two centuries later, feudal nations are again rising and taking back areas once controlled by the empire. –Read More

Cryos

The frozen continent of Cryos is located at the world’s southern pole. This continent appears to be completely inhospitable to all but cold-dwelling races such as white dragons, frost giants, and their ilk.

Gotteramboß

The legendary homeland of the dwarves, Gotteramboß (Gotterambosz) is wracked by atmospheric storms and volcanic activity. Dwarves exist here in large numbers and as a result, this is the only continent thought to be devoid of goblinoids, there are however greater threats. Gotteramboß is also home to fire giants, red dragons, and countless other monsters. Why would anyone risk a trip to this volatile hellscape? Tales also indicate that the greatest mineral wealth may also be found there.

Home of the dwarves.

Hutan

This tropical continent is covered by vast jungles and marshes. Living in its moist environs are large numbers of lizardfok, fen trolls and a small number of a sub-race of miloi. Tales from this land include stories of giant lizards, larger than dragons, which roam the continent with the frequency of antelope on the high plain. Darker stories still speak of an ancient evil race of snake-beings worshiping their spiteful gods who seek to feast upon the warm blood of the younger races.

Kayuramha

The homeland of sylvan elves, Kayuramha is an idyllic forest continent. Human explorers are yet to find this land, but its existence is not doubted due to the significant number of references elves make to the place.

Mhurann’s Daughters

This is a chain of small islands to the southwest of Auctorus, stretching some 1,000 miles out to sea. The Werin believe these isles are the homes to all manner of fey folk.

Novus

A large and generally un-colonized continent. Very similar to Auctorus in climate, but in the southern hemisphere. Before the fall of the Great Empire a few colonies had been placed there. However no contact has been made with these settlements for over one hundred years.
